Call me naive, but I believe that good things happen to good people. Miracles happen to good people.
Aenny and David’s wedding ceremony was held at the top of the mountain at the Vail Mountain in Vail, Co. A few hours before the ceremony, we went up to wedding deck to do some portraits, and the weather just didn’t seem to cooperate. With the altitude of 11,570 ft, at the top of the summit was the most dynamic weather I have ever encountered. One minute it was calm and serene, and then the next minute the wind was blowing so fast that at one point Aenny’s veil was nearly blown away. Of course any bride would have been anxious, as it would have been huge disappointment if the guests couldn’t enjoy the view and celebrate the marriage in good weather, after all those months of planning. Well, Aenny and David are GREAT people with BIG hearts; the miracle DID happen, and the weather calmed down just before the ceremony and it was incredibly beautiful by the time they were walking down the aisle, um, I mean the trail to the deck.
Looking at the pictures now, I think the real miracle wasn’t the weather. The weather was just the cherry on top. :) It was the gathering of all those people itself that was the true miracle. Aenny and David’s beloved friends and family literally came from all over the country, some from out of country, to celebrate and bless Aenny and David’s marriage. Many of those who were there that day, and not just the guests but also the vendors, were some of the nicest people I’ve ever met. There was just so much affection everywhere, and it was one of those weddings that made me feel so happy and proud that I am a wedding photographer. Congratulations!
